Vision & Mission
Agrobit is an innovative startupagritech founded in Florence in 2022 that develops computer vision and AI solutions for digital agriculture and precision farming.
The company’s mission is tohelp farmers and agricultural technicians achieve their goals of environmental, social and economic resilience and sustainability by optimizing agronomic practices and reducing the use of chemical inputs and water, through the use of vision-based Decision Support Systems (DSS), digital twin, AI and computer vision.
Agrobit’s vision is to democratize access to agritech technologies, making precision and digital agriculture tools accessible to every single farmer.

Announcement winners PSR Tuscany Region 2014-2020 – submeasure 16.2 with the project “iVine,” for the optimization of pesticide management in the vineyard through the mobile app iAgro, in collaboration with 2 Tuscan farms, University of Florence (DAGRI), CNR-IBE and CIA Toscana.
In this project, Agrobit srl received €60,150.45 in funding from the Tuscany Region’s rural development program (CUP A.R.T.E.A. 1073464 – CUP CIPE D17F23000010009).
Vincitori del bando CSR FEASR 2023-2027 Regione Toscana – SRG01 “Sostegno ai Gruppi operativi Pei Agri” con il progetto “FlavoTrack”, per il riconoscimento precoce della Flavescenza Dorata in vigneto tramite telerilevamento da drone, in collaborazione con 4 aziende agricole toscane, Università di Firenze (DAGRI), Università di Torino (DISAFA), CNR-IBE, ERATA, Confagricoltura Toscana e Toscana Formazione.
In questo progetto, Agrobit srl ha ricevuto finanziamenti per 75.062,64€ dal programma sviluppo rurale della Regione Toscana (CUP A.R.T.E.A. 1271121).
Announcement winners CSR FEASR 2023-2027 Tuscany Region – SRG01 “Support for Pei Agri Operational Groups” with the project “Virtuoso,” for the implementation of a stereoscopic camera on a robotic platform to automate monitoring and treatments in the vineyard, in collaboration with Yanmar R&D Europe srl, GeoExplorer srl, 3 Tuscan farms, University of Florence (DAGRI), CIA Toscana, CIPA-AT Association and Agricoltura è Vita – Etruria srl.
In this project, Agrobit srl received €38,971.54 in funding from the Tuscany Region’s rural development program (CUP A.R.T.E.A. xxx – CUP CIPE xxx).
Winners of the call for proposals EIT Food – Test Farms 2022, with the project “iOlive” (budget €3,000, year 2023), which aims to demonstrate the potential of the iAgro mobile app for variable foliar fertilization on olive groves in Cilento, with field tests in collaboration with Cilento Farm House.
In this project, Agrobit srl received €3,000 in funding from EIT Food.
Winners of the call for proposals Icaerus Push Open Call with the AgroTwin project, in which an innovative DSS was created from 3D point clouds obtained with commercial drones in order to create “digital twin” of vineyards and provide farmers and technicians with biometric information on vines, vigor maps and to optimize phytosanitary treatments.
In this project, Agrobit srl received €60,000 in funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program under the OpenAgri project (grant agreement No. 101060643).
Announcement winners Chameleon 2nd Open Call with the VineScale project, in which 11 vineyards from northern to southern Italy were monitored by drone equipped with RGB, multispectral and thermal cameras to test the Chameleon platform and provide feedback for its validation and improvement.
In this project, Agrobit srl received €60,000 in funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program under the Chameleon project (grant agreement No. 101060529).
Winners of the call for proposals OpenAgri with the SmartCherry project, in which the iAgro app on cherry orchard will be implemented and improved with additional functionality.

Winners of the Call for Proposal. “Space for Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture” with the SAT2LEAF project aimed at integrating proximal optical data (iAgro app) and satellite (Sentinel-2) data for vegetation assessment in urban and peri-urban areas.
In this project, Agrobit srl received €75,000 in funding from the European Space Agency (ESA) (ESA Contract No. 4000149168/25/UK/AL/sc).
Winners of the call for proposals PRE-SEED Plus – POR ERDF. Lazio 2014-2020 (budget €59,664.27, biennium 2024-2025), aimed at hiring S&M staff and specialized services for business development and go-to-market of the iAgro app with expansion into new markets.
Winners of the Tecnonidi Puglia call for proposals – Initiative financed with resources from the ESF+ PR Puglia 2021-2027 – Priority Axis I “Competitiveness and Innovation” (budget €128,498, biennium 2024-2025), aimed at hiring R&D staff, acquiring specialized services for updating and validating the iAgro app and marketing activities.

Award Winners. Cassini Challenge – Idea Track 2025 (€10,000) sponsored by EUSPA (European Union Agency for the Space Program), for the idea of combining Copernicus satellite data with the iAgro app to provide real-time recommendations for optimizing resource use, reducing pesticide application, predicting yield, and assessing carbon sequestration in crops.
The iAgro app has been accredited in the FAO Agritech Observatory, meeting the UN sustainability goals and in particular Goals 2 (zero hunger), 9 (industry, innovation and infrastructure) and 12 (responsible consumption and production).
The iAgro app has been honored by the Legambiente Innovation Award 2025 (€2,500), the first national award aimed at business innovation in the environmental field, a challenge in which the competitiveness, attractiveness and well-being of cities and territories is at stake. The Award aims to celebrate excellent innovations in order to make sustainability the main lever of change in the pursuit of a more efficient, equitable and secure future in resource management.
